Ashland Food Angels
Our Leader a Force of Nature
Pamala Joy has been holding the space for the Food Angels in Ashland Or. for the past 20 years or so now. She is an inexhaustible force of nature connecting with the local shelters and food banks, tribal events and community centers offering meals for the hungry.
Starting the project in her garage and doing the occasional dumpster diving with her 15 year old daughter, she now manages a staff of 40 - 60 volunteers collecting from 4 - 5 markets and grocery store 7 days a week 362 days a year. (Christmas and New Years the vans sit idle)
